"Less say are payers"

We can always count on Lauren to remind us to say grace at each meal. Sometimes it is before we sit down, sometimes after our first bite and sometimes just as we are finishing. First she makes us all hold hands. Then we let go to do the sign of the cross. Then we rejoin hands and she picks someone to say the prayer. No matter who says the prayer, she will always add on "and for the mannals" (animals). Sometimes she will elaborate and pray for some of the specific food items we are eating and the people sitting at the table, but she never ever forgets the "mannals".

I thought it was so funny that while my family was here for Christmas we said grace at least twice a day. By the end of the visit everyone had had a chance to say the prayer at least once and I don't think anyone remembered to pray for the animals without Lauren reminding them!
