We decided a trip ice skating would be a fun outing...it had been many, many years for all of us since our last time ice skating.
This was Lauren's first time ice skating...she was so excited to go because she wanted to be like Belle and ice skate. She talks about skating all the time and pretend skates in the living room. However the reality of ice skating was a little less fun than she envisioned...
Wayne took her on the ice with her little trainer and she complained it was hard and she was cold. I took over helping her after about 15 minutes so Wayne could skate. A few seconds later she says, "mommy, I'm done. carry me please" but we were only halfway around the rink. 10 minutes later we made it back to the entrance of the rink, where Lauren quickly took off her skates and hung out with Uncle Brian, Noni and Colson.
Tina, Caitlin, Wayne and I really enjoyed ice skating and got pretty comfortable on the ice by the time we left. It was a fun outing!
