Lauren Faith, 4 year old pictures

Lauren at age 4

My baby girl is 4 today!!

Lauren is such a character these days using expressions like "I promise" and "no, for real" "that's annoying me" and other funny things.

She is a very imaginative little girl who likes to play with her princesses, can tell you all the names of the My Little Pony characters, loves to play board games and can put a puzzle together faster than I can. She is amazing. I love her so much!

Lauren loves to sing and dance, do tricks and gymnastics and can spend hours coloring and doing crafts. She loves to play with Colson and help him learn different things. She is a great big sister but often whines that she wants to be a baby again. She is such an affectionate and cuddly kid that I think she misses out on the extra affection since I am not carrying her all the time.

At her 4 year checkup she weighed 35 pounds (50.5 percentile) and is 39.5 inches tall (44th percentile). The doctor said she was taller than she was heavy, but my online calculator said the opposite. But she is right in the middle either way and is just perfect.

She had her eyes tested and although she didn't get a perfect score, she passed. I think the test was a little long for a 4 year old and she was just bored and saying anything by the end. She tested  20/25 with both eyes, 20/30 with her Left and 20/40 with her Right eye. That was the order the nurse did the test and I am not surprised she did worse as the test went on. It was even long for me!

Lauren also passed her hearing test and talked Dr. Cheng's ears off about her favorite things to do. Lauren had to get 2 shots and I warned her about them. She said she was going to be brave and then I promised her a special treat after. Lauren definitely cried when she got her shots, but she was over it shortly after. She has mentioned several times since then that she doesn't like shots and doesn't want them again. Luckily she doesn't have to get anymore until she is 11!

Immediate Family Celebration (AKA Party #2)

Of course we had to have a family party tonight also! Plus we had some presents to open from family and family friends also!

Lauren wasn't complaining about having to blow out her candles again...

or eating cake and ice cream twice in one day!

blowing out her candles

Lauren took a few tries to blow out her candles this year, but she finally got the hang of it!

and gave me a big hug! LOVE THIS GIRL!!

Lauren got several very thoughtful gifts from her friends and an extra special bug net, and bug house from Grandma and Poppi Wayne.

some more little Vikings

I loved these little Viking hats that Lauren begged me to get for her party. This is part of why she decided on the "How to Train Your Dragon " theme. She had to have these hats!

The kids seemed to like them and most wore them for most of the party too!

Lauren's 4th birthday continues

After the kids bowled, they came back to the party room to decorate their own dragon. They enjoyed the craft and then it was time to eat! Everyone was hungry and ready for some yummy pizza.
