Girl of the Alamo

Joyce and Delbert Mayfield came over to see us on Sunday night as well. Lauren had a great time performing for her audience. Here she is in her pajamas hiding in the curtains...We would all say, "Where is Lauren?" or "Oh gosh, we've lost Lauren..." and then when she was good and ready she would pop out and smile and squeal... She loved to play peek-a-boo in the curtains!

Here she is trying to open the window. We realized that the handle looked a lot like the reel on the fishing pole so she just thought she would turn it!

Joyce gave Lauren this book called "Girl of the Alamo" and told us this interesting story... Joyce had purchased the book while I was pregnant and thought, if Erin has a girl, I will give it to her... Of course we didn't know it was a girl until March 28, 2009! The neat thing is that this book was signed by the author and it was autographed to LAUREN- 24 years before she was born... Joyce was beside herself when she found out we had a girl and named her Lauren... !
