where is Lauren?

Every night when we get out of the bath tub, I get a diaper on Colson as fast as I can. He is such a wiggle worm and so anxious to get crawling again that it is a difficult task!

Lauren comes into Colson's room wrapped in her towel and lays down so she is hidden under her towel. She says "come find me. I am hiding"

I ask Colson "where is Lauren?" and he stops what he is doing and crawls full speed over to her. He  starts climbing on her and clawing at the towel to get to her.

We'll say "oh you found her. YAY!" and she will hide again and we will play this game several times before getting our pajamas on.

It is hilarious and everyone is giggling. Lauren loves to be found, Colson loves to climb on her and "find her". I love to see these two play together!

I never seem to remember my camera though, so hopefully I will get a picture or video soon!

Happy Birthday Violet!

Violet turned 3 today and we were so excited to go to her cupcake party! It was decorated so cute and we loved all the yummy treats! Lauren and Violet didn’t waste any time munching on pink M&Ms and asking for cupcakes! Lauren did great with watching Violet have her turn with her birthday…it just makes me that much more excited for her birthday in 2 months!

I think Natalie has a few other pictures that are much better, so I will update when I get those from her!

I am a mermaid

This is Lauren exclaiming, "I am a mermaid! look at me swim all over!" She is still pretty obsessed with Ariel right now and very disappointed no one is selling or renting "The Little Mermaid" movie right now. She has only seen 3 minute clips on You Tube, which she loves! 

Science Museum fun

It is Violet's birthday weekend and she wanted to go to the Science Museum...and if you know the birthday rules, then you know that is exactly where we went today! Lauren hadn't seen Violet in over a week due to our illness and she was so excited to see her! The girls ran around like crazy in the lobby and enjoyed being together so much Natalie and I weren't even sure they wanted to go into the museum! They sure had a great time playing together today and Lauren enjoyed the museum even more than last time I think!

What a FUN day!

frozen yogurt

After almost a week of being sick and hardly seeing the light of day, we woke up this morning feeling pretty good. We weren't ready for playdates yet, but we were ready to get out of the house! I took Lauren for a special frozen yogurt treat and she loved her private ice cream party with Rajah (Tiger/Leo's new name)...until Colson crashed it! He was so interested in what she was doing and being a part of it! 

Then we made a quick trip to Walmart for juice. That was the highlight of my day...

One of my not as creative activities while we were home sick this week was to play with real pots and kitchen utensils with pretend food. Lauren loves to make everyone dinner. 


Did you know that if you add water to this pot you can make crackers? Yum!

car ride

I was giving Colson a ride in the car tonight but Lauren felt left out and since there is not enough room for both of them in the Cozy Coupe, she got to ride on top. We had fun riding around the house and chasing Loudoun together...of course in their matching jammies. We call these their "brother bear" jammies...
