at the park with dad and Susie

Dad and Susie took the kids to the park today to spend some time with them and give us a chance to get ready for the rest of the company. It looks like everyone had a great time.

Adult Christmas exchange

Tonight was the adult Christmas exchange and traditional white elephant game. We had a light dinner and got down to business...

Lauren grabbed Colson's hand and told him it was time to say prayers. so precious...

Colson with Uncle Brian

Colson immediately stole my white elephant gift!

fun family time

bouncy bouncy time

Grandma Betty and Papa Art got the kids a little trampoline to keep at my mom's house. The kids had so much fun bouncing! What a perfect gift. Thank you Grandma Betty and Papa Art!

soar through the air on a ...

flying trapeze!

Caitlin and I signed up to take a trapeze lesson together. It was honestly one of the scariest things I have ever done, but also one of the most fun. We were on a little high from it for days! I can't wait to go back, and so glad I had my first experience with my sister!

our attempt at the Trail of Lights

I really wanted to go to the Trail of Lights this year... I had it all planned out and got everyone really excited about it... The Trail was only open for a week this year and is probably the top attraction in Austin at Christmastime.

Here we are all excited before leaving...

We got about 5 miles from the Trail of Lights and the traffic was bumper to bumper in both directions. It was a madhouse. The shuttle lines were miles long (literally) and it was cold out so we didn't want to be standing outside for hours with the kids... so we decided to skip it. We were so disappointed. Lauren had fallen asleep on the way, so she didn't realize how close we came and then left so we went to downtown Round Rock and saw some lights... and got really excited about it!

The kids didn't care either way...but Lauren did remember that I had promised her hot chocolate, so we found a cute coffee shop and got hot chocolate and a treat.

There were about 8 people in the coffee shop enjoying a quiet Friday night listening to music when in we walk with our huge double stroller and two young kids... but who doesn't love footed-jammy wearing kids who just want to drink hot chocolate and dance to music. I think it made everyone's night to see these two cutie pies!

There was a couple playing live music and the kids really enjoyed listening to them. We even requested Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Lauren's face lit up that they played a song for her.

Colson danced around and made everyone's night with his adorable smile.

A few minutes after leaving...

too much fun!
